WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PIPELINE ENGINEER, ROTATING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER, PROCESS ENGINEER, PRODUCT ALLOCATION ENGINEER AND INSTRUMENTATION CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Qatargas Operating Company has exciting opportunities available for qualified professionals to join our company in the development of the vast North Field in Qatar. Qatargas currently has under development over $20 billion worth of major projects, including the construction of four new Liquefied Natural Gas trains for the production and export of LNG to every corner of the globe.
PIPELINE ENGINEER
• Prepare and update Technical Specifications and inspection procedures for inspection of pipelines and underwater structures.
• Lead annual risk assessment of pipelines and underwater structures and develop detailed inspection scope.
• Establish and implement long term CSA with Pipeline Management Integrity contractor.
• Plan and execute ILI, ROV and acoustic inspections of pipelines.
• Plan and execute ROV and driving inspections of underwater structures.
• Assist in the development of the Emergency Pipeline Repair System.
• Develop repair procedures with Structural Engineer for underwater structures as required.
• Ensure proper maintenance of inspection reports and records in electronic database.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Engineering Degree, preferably Mechanical.
• 8 years in offshore oil & gas industry.
ROTATING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER
• Plan and supervise the condition monitoring activities of all rotating machinery.
• Review and analyse dynamic vibration information.
• Monitor, review and analyse data for medium size and critical machines.
• Review and analyse data on equipment not covered by the dynamic monitoring.
• Review mechanical machine conditions.
• Arranges for periodic lube oil analysis.
• Provide ongoing technical expertise on mechanical engineering.
• Carry out various mechanical engineering studies.
• Establish minimum stock levels.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Graduate Mechanical Engineer or equivalent with 10 years or more experience; including 5 years working on rotating equipment in a gas processing plant.
• Demonstrable knowledge and awareness of new innovations in rotating equipment; pumps, compressors etc. is essential.
• Must have experience with one or more of Frame 5, 7 and 9 turbines and their use as compressor drivers.
• Cryogenic pumping experience would be beneficial, preferably in LNG service.
• Good written and spoken English is required.
• While design office experience is beneficial, a plant operating background is essential for the successful candidate.
PROCESS ENGINEER AND LEAD PROCESS ENGINEER
• Review plant or field operating data on a daily basis and advise on optimization of process operations.
• Design and implement special testing programs to anticipate, evaluate and resolve process problems.
• Identify specific requirements for special tests or analyses in the plant or field.
• Participate in the detailed evaluation and technical audit of various critical plant areas or equipment.
• Conduct feasibility studies for debottlenecking the plant, field and other new projects.
• Carry out conceptual and detailed process engineering design work.
• Maintain records of plant effluents and wastes and identify areas of concern, Participate in HAZOP studies.
• Review existing process control schemes and suggest improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
• BSc in Chemical engineering.
• 8 years experience (12 for Lead Engineer) in process design and engineering in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience in natural gas production, treating and processing, acid gas removal, sulfur production and low temperature processing and fractionation.
• Experienced in the use of computer programmes for process simulation and equipment design.
• Senior Process Engineer must have managerial experience.
• Experience in LNG Plant Design or operation is preferred (essential for Lead Process Engineer).
PRODUCT ALLOCATION ENGINEER
• Identify systematic metering uncertainties and provide corrective measures.
• Update and maintain Practices, Design/Implementation Regulations and ensure alignment with International Standards.
• Advise metering discrepancy reports.
• Provide assistance on the resolution of metering issues and audit actions.
• Participate in FDS of new and upgrade of systems & identify deficiencies.
• Lead engineering studies on metering equipment, including operational performance analysis.
• Provide advanced support and supervision to validation and calibration tasks.
• Ensure all measurement equipment, procedures and test equipment meet fiscal requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Engineering degree in instrumentation/Electronic Engineering (teknik instrumentasi / teknik elektro).
• Minimum 10 years experience with fiscal/allocation metering technologies.
• Strong analytical and business communication skills
• Established global network for contacts in the fiscal metering discipline.
INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEER
• Analyses existing or proposed instrumentation and control system for onshore and offshore plants.
• Review engineering design work connected with capital project and expenses.
• Modification and alteration of existing or new systems.
• Troubleshoots and recommends solutions.
• Review payment certificates from contractors.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Engineering degree in Electronics and Instrumentation (teknik elektro / instrumentasi).
• 10 years experience in instrumentation and control system design, engineering, commissioning and maintenance with 7 years in the Oil and Gas or similar industry.
