METALLURGICAL SUPERINTENDENT
PT. Nusa Halmahera
Minerals is a gold mining and exploration company, operating a COW
on Halmahera Island, North Maluku. The company is a joint venture
between Newcrest Mining Limited (82.5%) and PT Aneka Tambang
(17.5%).
The Company has a position vacant in Metallurgical
Superintendent at Gosowong - North Halmahera working a 4 weeks on,
2 weeks off roster. The Metallurgical ‘Superintendent
reports to Manager Ore Treatment.
The successful candidate
will possess the following qualifications and experience:

Minimum 8 years in mineral processing/extractive metallurgy

Ability to assemble data from information resources and identify
safety system & procedures required
- Ability to identify
and competent in Gold Processing Plant
Task and
Responsibility
- Monitoring and controlling process plant and
metallurgical efficiencies of the process plant, develop reports
to measure and track these efficiencies on an on going basis;

Prepare monthly metallurgical reconciliation, operating,
corporate, graphs, reagents, laboratory contractor and also
milling quarterly/ annual reports
- Perform metallurgical test
work in conjunction with metallurgical and assay laboratory
personnel for the purpose of improving process plant recovery,
efficiency and operation.
- Perform the development of
metallurgical, plant operating and laboratory procedures, policies
and practices aimed at providing the process plant with a safe,
efficient, cost-effective metallurgical service.
- Assist
Operations section personnel in achieving optimum process plant
operation with the development and implementation of standard work
instructions.
- Shipment scheduling, documentation and organize
bullion shipments from mine site to the refinery.
- Maintains
an ongoing liaison with the engineering department to ensure that
preventative maintenance program objective are met with minimum
impact on production.
Person Specifications
Education
major in degree Metallurgy. Teamwork oriented & Active written
and spoken English and behavior consistent
